Anne E. McMills
Anne E. McMills has been teaching 3D printing since 2011. Her passion is for expanding 3D technology’s home in theatrical design. Anne is also involved in advisory panels and focus groups for 3D technology companies where she has the opportunity to be a voice for the entertainment industry.
In addition to her passion for 3D printing, Anne is a lighting designer, professor, and the author of The Assistant Lighting Designer's Toolkit. She has worked in theatre (from Broadway to the West End) as well as in dance, opera, theme parks, concerts, award shows, industrials, architectural lighting, and television. Anne is the Head of Lighting Design at San Diego State University (where she also teaches 3D fabrication for entertainment design) and a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829. I am committed to the principles of anti-racism and anti-oppression. Through mutual respect, awareness, and active, thoughtful engagement, we can use our voices to dismantle systemic oppression based on all categories of identity within our industry and our nation. |
